empowHER India has been imparting life-skills training to adolescent girls in Karjat taluka for the past 3 years. Over 1900 adolescent girls from 75 villages/padas of Karjat taluka have been taught life skills. The same will be conducted in Karjat's 25 Zilla Parishad schools for Grades 6-10 boys and girls this year onwards. empowHER India’s School WaSH Program also covers toilet construction and behavior change communication with students, parents, and school teachers. They constructed 6 toilets for girls and boys in our taluka. Both programs are very important for the overall development of adolescents in this interior area. We are hoping such valuable work will continue to be done in this taluka. We are providing our complete cooperation and wish for the organization to reach more children with their programs!
