empowHER India has been working in remote villages in and around Karjat for the last 16 years, creating awareness about women’s rights which would not only be changing the lives of several girls and women but would also change the mindset of elders, thus creating harmony in the villages.

empowHER India believes all girls and all women should be aware of their rights and wishes to help them live their lives with dignity and respect. In doThey have built more than 2000 toilets in different villages, making life easier for thousands of women and their families.

Clean, pure drinking water has been made available to villages of Chindhran and Vaare. This is because so many infections and diseases caused earlier because of polluted water are now on a decline.

empowHER India has distributed a three months supply of sanitary napkins to the girls of Vaare and Patharaj villages and made them aware of the importance of cleanliness and maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation.

Along with this, empowHER India also explains and educates them about developing necessary skills to lead a life with dignity and self-respect, good health, basic education, and equality in society. So we should all be grateful to empowHER India.
