The saying "If you read, you will read" is true. The deeper our reading, the more our thoughts and actions remain on the right track. Books play an important role in expanding the boundaries of thought, giving new hope to our creativity.
In today's digital era, some may argue that books have lost their relevance, but in reality, reading books offers insights into the soul and mind, fostering wisdom and empathy. Moreover, it provides a deeper understanding of our cultural diversity. Reading books not only enriches our understanding but also brings joy and fulfillment to our lives.
In essence, books are invaluable sources of wisdom and enlightenment, serving as our constant companions and guiding lights in a complex world. They enhance our knowledge, provide entertainment, and ultimately, enrich our lives in profound ways.
A book is like having a wise friend by your side. It teaches us about right and wrong, comforts us when we're sad, and shares our happiness. Unlike people who might give us bad advice, a book always guides us in the right direction. It lets us experience different lives and learn from them, without ever leaving our hands.
Bhagyshali shares her experience with books, "I've loved reading since I was in third grade. My family and school encouraged me, making books a big part of my life. They've helped me through tough times and been there for me during exams, competitions, and other challenges. From stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata to fun tales like Akbar and Birbal, every book has taught me something valuable."
Books may seem lifeless, but they're full of stories that come alive when we read them. They speak to us in their way, comforting us when we're sad and cheering us up when we're happy. As we spend more time with them, we start to understand their feelings too. Even when we feel lonely, books are there to keep us company, sharing their experiences and taking us on adventures.
Books play many roles in our lives. They're our friends, guides, mentors, and confidants. They help us explore new places, learn new things, and overcome challenges. Whether it's a historical tale, a scientific discovery, or a funny comic, each book has its personality and lessons to teach us.
Teenage years are crucial, as what we learn then shapes our future. Working with empowHER India, I've seen how adolescents are like clay, ready to be molded. Through life skills sessions and our book "Majhi Pustika," we've witnessed positive changes in them, from their nutrition habits to their thinking patterns. They've transformed from shapeless clay into more defined individuals.
Not only have the kids benefited, but their parents have also changed their thinking after reading the book. As someone who works with teenagers, I recommend some great books for them to read. Books like Anna Bhau Sathe's collection, Mahatma Phule's writings, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's works for understanding social issues, and Laksh for personal development.
For kids who aren't used to reading, I advise starting with small books. They can begin with simple folk tales and gradually move to bigger ones. Nowadays, children spend a lot of time scrolling through their phones, but they can spare a few minutes for reading. It's a small step that can make a big difference in their lives.
Books never judge us and always encourage us to learn and grow. They let us experience different lives and perspectives, expanding our minds and enriching our lives. So let's keep reading and enjoying the endless adventures that books offer us.
